German World War 2 era Merit Medal: “Reichsnährstand Landesbaurernschaft, Westfallen Blut und Boden”. For service in the Farming Society. “Blut and Boden” (Blood and Soil) on the obverse refers to the ideology that focused on the  importance of ethnicity based on descent blood and territory. This medal was awarded by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to reward individuals for their work on the behalf of the Reich.
